To our patients, our community, and everyone who casted a vote — thank you.
Receiving this recognition from Morgantown Magazine means more to us than we can easily put into words. Not because of the award itself, but because of what it represents — the trust of a community we have devoted our lives and careers to serving.
When Dr. Lucas and Dr. Amy graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2001, they left with more than degrees. They left with a shared mission — to offer their community a natural, vitalistic approach to healthcare that helps people restore true wellness rather than simply manage symptoms. That mission has guided every decision they have made since, and it is the foundation of everything Mountain State Wellness is built on.
Being voted Best Chiropractic Office in Morgantown tells us that mission has resonated. And for that, we are deeply grateful.

This Award Belongs to You
An award like this is only possible because of the people who experienced something worth voting for. Every vote came from a real person with a real story — someone who came in carrying pain they had been living with far too long, and left with something they hadn't expected to find: genuine hope.
You trusted Dr. Lucas and Dr. Amy with your health. You trusted them with your children, your pregnancies, your most persistent and discouraging symptoms. You kept showing up, gave your body the chance to heal, and then told others about it. That is what built this practice — the quiet word-of-mouth of people whose lives genuinely changed.
This award belongs to every one of you.
The Story Behind the Practice
Dr. Lucas's path to chiropractic began during an internship while completing his Biology degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania — where he witnessed healings that shifted everything he thought he understood about the human body. That experience sent him to Palmer College, where he developed a deep appreciation for the intelligent design of the body and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2001.
Dr. Amy's path to chiropractic began during high school, through her own experience as a patient. Chiropractic care and nutrition gave her a new understanding of what the body is capable of when properly supported — and that discovery never left her. She graduated from Palmer Magna Cum Laude that same year with a personal mission to help others, especially children, experience that same potential for lasting wellness.
They graduated together. They married. And they built a practice together rooted in the belief that the human body has an innate intelligence — the capacity to grow, heal, and maintain itself — when the nervous system is free to do its job. Their work at Mountain State Wellness has always been about restoring that freedom.
What This Community Has Given Us
Morgantown has given Dr. Lucas, Dr. Amy, and our entire team the privilege of being trusted. Trusted with your pain, your frustration, your hope, and ultimately your health.
We have watched patients walk out of our office feeling things they hadn't felt in years. We have seen families discover what it means to live well, not just symptom-free. We have had the joy of caring for children who will grow up understanding that their bodies are capable of remarkable things when supported the right way.
That is not something we take for granted. It is something we recommit to every single day.
For Anyone Who Hasn't Found Their Way to Us Yet
If you have been living with chronic symptoms — pain, migraines, vertigo, fatigue, or anything else that has been quietly limiting your life — and you have never explored what upper cervical care combined with whole-food nutrition and nervous system support might offer, we would love to meet you.
Dr. Lucas and Dr. Amy have built their practice around a simple but powerful conviction — that your body is capable of more than you may have been led to believe. Supporting that capacity naturally, and helping patients discover what true wellness feels like, has been their mission since the very beginning.
Morgantown trusted us with this recognition. We will keep working every day to deserve it.
Thank you — from Dr. Lucas, Dr. Amy, and every member of the Mountain State Wellness team.
